    Maharashtra Cabinet has approved the allotment of grazing land and plots for the PMAY Affordable Housing Scheme on 13 November 2018 . Now, land and plots belonging to local self-governing bodies can be used for the construction of affordable housing under the PM Awas Yojana. This decision will lead to greater availability of land for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Maharashtra.

    According to the CMO officials, the Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act and the Maharashtra Municipal Council, Nagar Panchayat and Industrial Township Act will be amended for this purpose. After this decision, the "Housing for All" scheme will be implemented in an expeditious manner to provide shelter to all homeless people in the state.

    The Maharashtra Cabinet has approved the allocation of pasture land and plots belonging to self-governing bodies for the construction of houses under the PMAY Affordable Housing Scheme for land acquisition under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The Maharashtra government is committed to providing houses to all families by 2022 under the Housing Scheme for All.

    As the Maharashtra cabinet has decided to remove the land availability hurdles, the chief minister called for speeding up the works for the PMAY Urban Housing Scheme . The allocation of grazing land and plots related to local self-governing bodies for the purpose of building Affordable Housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will give a boost to the PMAY scheme.

    1. This decision will bring more land to implement PM Narendra Modi's vision for housing all homeless people by 2022. The Chief Minister also asked to complete the Akola Water Supply Scheme by November 2019.
    2. A total of 9769 houses have been completed with a total target of 18,836 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Gramin, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMHAN-G Awas Yojana) on 13 November 2018.
    Maharashtra Cabinet on Anganwadi Workers and Assistants Age Limit for Retirement (Maharashtra Cabinet on Anganwadi Workers & Helpers Age Limit for Retirement) -

    The Maharashtra Cabinet has also approved a proposal to increase the age limit for retirement for Anganwadi workers and their assistants based on their fitness from 60 years to 65 years.

    According to the CMO officials, all Anganwadi Sevikas (Anganwadi Sevikas) will have to submit a health certificate upon attaining the age of 60 years. After submission of health certificate, the government will approve extension in service for Anganwadi workers, assistants and mini Anganwadi workers. This extension will be given for 3 years and then 2 years.
