    Recently the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme 2019 is being launched by the Central Government. This scholarship scheme is for the children of Ex-Serviceman and Ex-Coast Guard families of India. The Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme was launched in the year 2016 by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. But the plan had to be discontinued after a few days. But once again this scheme is being started in a new way.

    Under this scheme, the Central Government will provide aid to the students. Interested students can apply online for the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme registration. In this article, we are providing you all the information related to the PM Scholarship Scheme (PM Chatravriti Yojana).     Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme (PM Scholarship Scheme 2019-20)

    As we told you above, the Government of India provides Prime Minister Scholarship for the children of Ex-Servicemen and X Coast Guard families every year. Under this scholarship scheme, the eligible student is provided monthly assistance for studies.


    PM Scholarship Scheme Support Amount:  The monthly assistance amount given under this scheme is as follows:

    1. 2,250 per month scholarship for girls
    2. Rs 2,000 per month scholarship for boys

    A total of 55,00 wards of ex-servicemen are selected for scholarship in each academic year. Scholarships are divided equally between boys and girls. Scholarships are paid for a period of one to five years according to the duration of the courses approved by the relevant regulatory bodies. The selected students are paid scholarship amount every year. For more information, please see the official website of the Central Military Board Secretariat by clicking on the link given below.

    Eligibility Criteria for PM Scholarship Scheme -

    Children of ex-servicemen and family of X Coast Guard can avail this scheme. In addition, they are required to have the following eligibility criteria.


    • Applicant must have passed class XII and diploma.
    • It is mandatory to have at least 60% marks in class XII and diploma.
    • The age limit should be from 18 years to 25 years.
    • Under this scheme, scholarship will be provided only after taking admission in the first year.
